Lucky 13 roll-over quizzes - 13 quiz questions printed on gold or silver backed card, inside gold or silver envelopes.... for a fun and quick accumulator quiz, with big cash prizes.
In general; Accumulator quizzes are usually extra quizzes run at the end of the night after the main quiz, taking about 5-10 minutes. Money (50p or £1.00 per person) is collected from all participating individuals/teams. If the accumulator quiz is not won, the collected prize money rolls over to the next week, often making the accumulator quizzes an irresistible competition to enter - and of course, they help to encourage players back each week, as well as attract new teams if you advertise those cash prizes!!! Roll-over quizzes are also good for raising money for charities or community funding.
Lucky 13 is for individual players only - 1 question is asked per week, 13 questions in total. 12 are annoyingly tangible but on the whole un-gettable. Question 13 however is very easy and is the 'lucky question.'
Supplied by post only, each Lucky 13 Accumulator quiz contains 13 questions. Advise players that 12 questions are 'possible' but particularly difficult to answer and 1, the lucky question, is very easy. An example might be; "Name the 3 colours on the Union Jack".
Each participant purchases a raffle ticket & whoever wins the raffle gets to pick an envelope. Lucky 13 could be won at any time but the odds of picking the easy question are against the players in the earlier weeks, increasing only as each week progresses with less envelopes to chose from.
